What is a Custom Project, you may ask? In general, it is any project that doesn’t conform to the standard, existing broadcast monitoring service structure. It results from calls we’ve received from current or potential clients who have a monitoring need that isn’t being met anywhere else in the industry. And we love receiving these calls! They set us in to motion to find a viable, affordable solution (our specialty). More often than not, we are able to present a solution for those who have asked.
Throughout more than three decades of service, we have completed hundreds of custom projects across a diverse range of clients. These projects often become the springboard of adding new services to our offerings or modifying existing services to be nimble enough to address these types of needs.
Some examples of custom projects we’ve completed throughout the years:
AD CONFIRMATION SERVICES
Our custom ad confirmation services have been carried out for both direct response and traditional marketers alike. It usually includes both TV and radio monitoring as well. What is most common for them is either;
- A strong seasonality to the product/service or brand, combined with budgets are confined to calendar quarters and cannot be carried over. If you’ve never worked with this type of a budget for a media buy, then you may not have thought twice about how ad buys are reconciled and the timing associated with this. If your billing and ad reconciliation statement comes 3-4 weeks after a media buy and you take a few days or even weeks to reconcile (depending on the size of the buy and staff availability), it can leave you with no time for make goods within the budget timing constraints. Because we can provide confirmation and missed spot notification within 24 hrs, this makes things far simpler to arrange for make-goods within the time restrictions, allowing the media agency and clients to get the maximum value from their media dollars.
- The inclusion of live reads in the media buy. Since these aren’t traditional :30 or :60 spots, the need to track uniquely and assure the reads comply with guidelines/scripts is important. Again, given our quick turn-around on reports that can include audio clips or transcripts, it allows customers to quickly confirm compliance or contact stations to request tweaks/make-goods.
